As a platform operating within social categories, we are fully committed to maintaining the highest standards of child safety and protection. We actively work to prevent child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on our platform, in accordance with applicable laws and international best practices.

Zero Tolerance Policy

SmartGali maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward any content that sexually exploits or abuses minors. Any such content is immediately removed, and the responsible account is permanently banned.

Age Verification & Minors Protection

We implement age verification measures and restrict minors from accessing adult-only features. Our platform design prioritizes child-safe defaults for all community features.

Content Moderation

We employ automated detection systems and human moderators to identify and remove CSAE content proactively. Suspected content is reviewed within 24 hours of flagging.

Reporting Mechanisms

Users can report child safety concerns directly in-app. All reports are treated with urgency and reported to the relevant national and regional authorities as required by law.

Data Retention for Investigations

SmartGali retains relevant user data in accordance with law-enforcement cooperation requirements, to support investigations into child exploitation and abuse.

Regular Audits & Training

Our trust and safety team undergoes regular training on identifying and responding to CSAE. We conduct quarterly audits of our policies and technical safeguards.

Response Commitment: Our designated contact is available during business hours (Monday–Saturday, 9 AM – 6 PM IST) and will respond to child safety inquiries within 24 business hours. For urgent law-enforcement requests, expedited review is available through our legal correspondence channel.

In-App Child Safety Reporting

Smart Gali allows users to report child safety concerns directly in-app. Every post, profile, comment, or message on our platform can be reported using the in-app "Report" feature. Reports flagged as child safety issues are escalated to our Trust & Safety team within 2 hours of submission.

Compliance with All Relevant Child Safety Laws

SmartGali complies with all relevant child safety laws applicable in India and any other jurisdiction where our platform operates. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012
  • Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines & Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021
  • Indian Penal Code provisions related to child sexual abuse
  • UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) principles

Reporting to Regional & National Authorities

SmartGali actively reports suspected CSAM and child exploitation cases to the relevant regional and national authorities, including the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), Cyber Crime Cell, and National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as applicable under international law.

For immediate action, report directly to India's National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal at cybercrime.gov.in

Emergency: If a child is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services (India: 112) immediately before filing an in-app report.
